Into the cloud(s): The Silicon Valley startup Balluun
The IT company Balluun gets trade show organizations in shape for the “digital transformation”. The social commerce platform Balluun365 offers a cloud-based tool with which trade show organizations can extend their business model into the digital sector. Exhibitors have the opportunity to present their products in digital showrooms, to link themselves via social community functions with potential business partners as well as their customers and to conclude transactions online. Everything on a single platform, around the clock, on 365 days a year. Thus, Balluun optimally complements the physical trade show that is otherwise restricted to a few days a year.
In the United States, Balluun has had a successful start already: For the trade show organizer Advanstar, Balluun operates with “ShopTheFloor”, the industry platform for the 14 most visited fashion trade shows of the US. In 2014, the company with the blue balloons, based in Silicon Valley and Switzerland, dared to take the leap over the Atlantic – and had a successful touch down in Europe.
This geographical extension of business space made it necessary to have a coordinated worldwide communication – that, since 2014, Convensis Group has taken on. Our main tasks are to continue the success story of Balluun in the US communicatively as well as to successfully support its launch in Europe. Beside the strategic communications planning, focus in Europe is on investor communications and on sales-supporting PR. We inform potential customers in their target media about the innovative solution of Balluun and possibilities for B2B e-commerce. That is why we are not only happy about any positive publication, but also about any announcements on new customers. With successful communication, we will give Balluun the impetus to rise higher and higher in Europe.
